Hyunsung Lee is a South Korean photographer based in the Netherlands. His work revolves around "fernweh", a continuous search for a place of belonging. Using light as his personal language, his photos portray the intricate balance of emotions inherent in his search for connection, conveying a deep warmth yet an underlying tone of loneliness.
Lee is currently finishing his bachelor's degree in Psychology & Technology at Eindhoven University of Technology with a specialization in the built environment. In addition to his photography and academic pursuits, he aspires to extend his professional career in the field of lighting design, and is currently a certified European Lighting Expert (ELE) in Interior Lighting acknowledged by the European Lighting Expert Association (ELEA).
