Òrbita: Ressonant is an interactive light installation inspired by the caustic refractions of light on moving water. The sculptural form is derived from Òrbita, a luminaire designed by Marta Monrós, and developed as an extension of its conceptual language. Through motion and light, the installation explores resonance, perception, and the interplay between physical movement and visual response.
Created in collaboration with Diego Nardi and Marta Monrós, the installation was presented as part of Salon: Bevægelsens Natur (The Nature of Movement) at Villa Kultur, Copenhagen. The salon explored movement as a phenomenon, examining how frequencies, vibrations, and rhythms in our surroundings influence human perception and experience. The audience was invited to gently set the water in motion, generating ripples that transform the projected light into continuously evolving caustic patterns. The work was also accompanied by a sound composition by Eske Nørrelykke and Niels Dalum, enhancing it into a multisensory experience.
Special thanks to Stine Louring for hosting the salon and providing the opportunity to present this work.
